    The current licensing agreement is as follows:

    1) Keep your copy of Vista only on one machine at a time.
    2) You can transfer it as many times as you please.
    3) However, if you transfer it too many times you'll have to call in to Microsoft to validate that you aren't some crazy software pirate who is trying to install it on the 1000 PCs he's about to sell on eBay.
    4) When you call in to MS and give a short explanation and assert to them that you are following the EULA and rules 1-3 you will be given the green light.
    5) This basically is no different that XP as it stands today.

    Improvements, as stated in the article:
    1) Warranty period increases to 1 year
    2) If you do not activate (and I can't think of a reason not too unless you are stealing), Vista will go to a "dummy" mode that will force you to activate. Again, this is a protective measure for MS and the product they sell.
