the RAM usage is also just telling you what percentage of your RAM is currently being used by the programs running.
Nizzy1115 was dead-on about the CPU part.

How many processes are running in the task manager and how much memory are they using?

Hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete to access the task manager.

Core 1 and Core 2 usually means the core #2 and core #2. Core 0 is usually the core #1. LOL

But in this case, core 1 = core #1 and core 2 = core #2

Vista is a strange resource hog when it cmes to RAM
(apart from the cache which wouldn't be listed by your widget)

Ever heard of system mechanic - that software can defragment RAM - possibly last only a few minutes before its fragmented, but anyway...
On my mother's Meion that dropped RAM usage from 1GB to about 500MB - don't ask me why...

Basically - let Vista eat RAM as long as you don't notice performance issues.
    Don't worry about it.
