I recently upgraded my K-Lite codec pack from an older version 3 to the latest one (434 standard), however after clearing my thumbnail cache I've noticed that a lot of my video files don't display the normal image I'm accustomed to seeing in the explorer window i.e. I used to see a small image from the file extracted as a thumbnail but now virtually all of the old images are replaced by black thumbnails. I'm not sure why this has happened and don't know if there's a fix. Anyone got any ideas on what to do to get thumbnail extraction and display back to what it was?

I've done that quite a few times through CCleaner, it seems the problem lies with how my system extracts thumbnails in the 1st place. I'm still not sure how to revert it back to its original method of taking thumbnails.

It is basically the offset time. Does K-Lite codec pack have Haali Media Splitter? If so, go into Haali Media Splitter settings and there should be something about explorer integration and offset.

Also, I recommend Vista Codec Pack. I find it to be more stable than K-Lite. Just saying. :)

That worked, shame I can't customise offsets for each file. Repped for the help.
