The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    When starting thunderbird, I get this error (mozilla thunderbird unable to load address book file abook-2.mab). Any ideas how to fix this please?

    I tried some suggestions from google, mozilla forums, like recreating address books and so on, but it didn't work.

    EDIT: Fixed it, I think! I just deleted abook-2.mab (and there was also abook-3.mab, deleted that as well) from the thunderbird profile folder, and restarted thunderbird. I don't see the error anymore.
