Do the current betas (7068 and later) as well as the projected RC (05 May) still time-bomb in August of 2009?
I've heard tell that the time-bomb date was pushed back to sometime between Jan and March of 2010.
?? and thanks

A lot of the later builds expire next year, here are some pictures:
First pic is 7000 which expires this year, second one is 7057 which expires next year, and third pic is 7077 which also is next year, so expect the RC to be next year aswell.
-
Did you really expect being able to use the evaluation releases forever?
-
i have the 7057, so when will the copy that never expires come out?

that will be the one you can buy in shops, then...
-
Expiration dates of the beta versions doesn't have anything to do with the release dates of the RC's and RTM versions. RC public release is expected sometime in May 2009.
-
I think he was implying that the RC would expire next year.

so that's like nearly one year to go until 7057's expiration. Thats gud. Prolly that time Win7 Official release are already swarming the market
-
7057 and 7077 (and 7100) expires at the same date, last 2 pictures use different date formats and are from different time zones.
-
Yes, they probably are different time zones, the second picture is from google, the third one from my machine, I'm in the UK and I've no idea where the other one is. I put the pictures on just to highlight the fact that the later builds will expire next year.
-
what is this 7100 RC build about? is it like an official, non-expiring release (non-beta)? Oh, and whats Release Candidate mean?
-
how do you get to the "about windows" screen? i can't find it
-
