Would like to know if you have installed the Dual core optimiser (from AMD website)
It is there to be downloaded but there is no mention of any specefic operating system.. This should be already included into the OEM vista disk right ?

Its probably for XP, since it doesnt support dual/multi core CPU's
Vista does on the other hand. No it wont be included in the vista disks -
since its "amd dual core optimizer" I don't think microsoft wants to have it on their vista discs
-
It is not for Vista. If memory serves, it will not even install on Vista without erroring out.............
-
It does install under vista.
I might be wrong, but it seems my laptop is responding better... euh... It might be me though
I emailed AMD and asked them about this, will post their answer if i receive one. -
yeah I had it installed too, under vista. didnt notice much improvement though

It's an hotfix AMD released at the same time they release their Opteron X2/AthlonX2 because Windows XP didn't have dual core support.
Microsoft released and official hotfix and Vista was developped for Dual core so it won't change anything
To those using Vista64 and Turion64 X2 processor
