like in the picture that i took
i have google or internet explorer with taskmanager running
but it doesn't show up in the bar... only the language tool
also if i remove it, bar goes missing or minimized..
    how do i fix this???

    Oh well.

    Emergency!

I've got a friend whose laptop also got this problem. System restore did not do magic on it though.

Is there anyway to solve this problem without

    a) reinstalling/formatting?
    b) living with the problem?
    c) alt-tab?
    Any help is greatly appreaciated!

Performing a OS repair is the first thing that comes to my mind. Stick in your XP CD, reboot, select Install New OS, then Repair Installed OS after a few screens.
And I strongly recommend you to change your resolution to a widescreen one. Aren't you annoyed by the fact that everything on your machine is stretched?

Oh ya...how could i have forgot. Maybe it's because i keep formatting to get a new OS. That's right, my OS is also an image from ASUS, not an XP CD like someone777. So, what should we do?

edit - Answered my own question. There should be a recovery partition on the hard drive hidden. (i formatted mines). Pressing a key while on startup will do.

Two questions regarding this thread's problems.

    A) Is the taskbar button disappearing a bug in XP? I've read that it is a bug caused by the language bar.
    B) Can it be solved?

    Thanks
