I have a new Toshiba x505 it comes with Windows 7 64bit and explorer 8. I just spent several days working with Toshiba tech support. According to tech. support the face recognition does not work with Explorer 8. Does anyone have a work around or had this problem? By the way the face recognition is very light sensitive! Unless the lighting is very similar to the lighting when you registered your face you may have a lot of problems. Seems to me at this point the only solution to not remembering and entering a lot of passwords is to purchase an external fingerprint reader.![]()

In bad lighting you tend to blend into your background, With proper lighting the background creates a sharp contrast detectable edge around your face not to mention other detectable features.
Anyways enough about how facial recog sucks and u have to move with your laptop in 360's till it finds you. Is there an actual problem? If it seems to be working what does internet explorer 8 have todo with it? -
Face recognition useless .. anyone who gets a photo of you can log in with it just fine ...
