    i just brought a New Toshiba 80 GB External hardDisk. it is not working wwiht vista. the device name is Toshiba USB 2.0 Ext. HDD.........i went in toshibas website , i did not find it there....Please Help

    what error message did u get when u hooked up the ext under vista? tried different usb ports?

    Tried unplugging it and plugging it in again?

    The first time I tried accessing my USB thumb drive with Vista it didn't recognise it at all. After unplugging and plugging the drive four times it finally appeared and has been fine since.

    Very strange.
