have been trying to figure it out for over 10 hours and no luck, i have a new notebook i bought and it has no cd/dvd drive, i also don't have a usb hdd or dvd.

i was trying to install vista using pxe (my notebook supports it), i was able to load win pe via network and i was able to get to the command prompt window. here i tried to ping to the server pc and it returns error code 1231, seems no connection but cable is connected.

i used tftpd32 to boot win pe.

i have no clue as of what to do

still, this assumes you have a cd drive to load the win pe package you have created, how do i load the win pe package using pxe?

i already tried loading a win pe package built from a user on the web but i would like to add it additional drivers for the lan support which might be the problem of not having the ip.
