The ALPS touchpad driver on my Vaio has this function built in. My understanding is that all the Alps drivers do.

I would've liked this shortly after I got my laptop - I had this happen all the time back then (Synaptics touchpad on a Dell). Now, it almost never happens. But I'm sure someone will find this useful.

And, is that really Windows 98 on the laptop in the picture? Seems odd considering it's a Win2K+ utility...

    Old laptop is old.

What's the point of this anyway? I don't imagine many people accidentally touch the touchpad when they're typing.

I've never really had a problem with this, but I guess it all depends on how someone rests there hands on the palm rest.
