Is it possible to transfer the saved data of a game from one pc to another? Would it also matter that it would be coming from a desktop with windows xp to a laptop with vista? And if yes how??

It depends upon the game, what games are you talking about?

Saved game files are stored in different places for different games, perhaps if you Google how to back up save games for specific games you might find an answer to your question.

Empire Earth 2 should be easy - for Empire Earth 1 - no clue :(

Possibly somewhere deep down - not as open as EE2
