Hi guys, Im about to get a new laptop.
My old laptops has a very important software installed, I bought it with a co worker about 5 years ago, its a very expensive software.

We bought it together and used the reg number on my laptop and on his. He got fired two years ago and took the cd and box with him.
I need to transfer my software onto this new laptop but I cant afford the 600 dlls .

    What can I do?

Call the company that made the software, and explain your situation to them. They may be able and willing to help you. Other than that, there's nothing you can do, legally anyway.

^This, I remember that Adobe was understanding of having a new computer of having to wipe one back in the CS2 days as an example, you just had to contact support. Support may or may not help you, but it's worth a shot.

It might help to know the software you are asking about. But the best option would be to contact the company and explain the story. This is assuming we have the full story.
