This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I purchased a laptop from Xoticpc some years ago and was wondering if I can transfer my OS to another computer?

    Those systems come with OEM licenses for the operating system that are tied to the machine upon which they were originally installed.

    You will need to purchase a new copy for a new computer if it doesn't come with one already.
