i currently run Vitrite which allows me to make any window transparent in XP. it's great for what it does, but i'd like to be able to have windows go from transparent to opaque upon focus. is there any freeware that does it? i looked at alphaXP and another app, but the feature i'm looking for is only on the full versions. any freeware out there that does this ?

I downloaded ATI's Hydravision and it allows you to make windows transparent and fade in when opening a new window.

here's specifically what i'm looking for. when a window, any window, on the desktop is inactive/not-in-focus, i want it to fade transparent and then fade in either on focus or mouseover.

    anything?

Hydravision looks so sweet, I can't wait to get my TM8204 so I can use that sweet sweet program.

    :D

Would somebody write something about how it works?
