A while back I loaded Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, no problems. Then out of the blue it said my OS was invalid. Checked around, was told to unwind Bootcamp and do it all over. Did that, told needed some driver and jammed up Mac. Decided to do a redo, undid Bootcamp and then redid the partition. Ran Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit again.
I was given a choice of 4 partitions, picked the one that said bootcamp. The software said it could not load: Windows cannot be installed to this hard drive space. Windows must be installed to a partition formatted as NTFS. (BTW, the other partitions would not work either.)
I have no idea what any of that means, but I hit the advanced button. It gave me the option of formatting, but when I clicked on formatting, it warned me that armageddon was a possible outcome (well not quite).
Since I have no idea what I am doing, and had none of these issues the first time I loaded the software, I thought I would check in here. Tips?

Windows can only be installed on a certain type of disk format (one that osx does not use natively).
So, what you need to do is delete the partition that was your windows partition (or you just created in osx).
If you are unsure, just boot back into OSX, expand your partition (using disk utility) so you only have one partition.
Next, run bootcamp assistant to download and burn to DVD the windows drivers you need.
Then recreate your windows partition under disk utilites, put in win7 dvd..... reboot into windows setup.... delete the newly created partition and reformat as NTFS.... run installation.... then install drivers from the dvd you created (bootcamp assistant drivers).
