I just got a Dell D630 and I wanted to reformat to get all the junk off and to delete the partition dell puts on. The problem I am running into is that when I boot from a CD to install Win XP or Vista, it says there is no hard drive installed in my PC. I know for a fact that there is because I can boot from the HDD and it runs fine. Anyone else run into this, or know how to get around it?

    Thannks,
    Tom

You only have to slip stream them when installing XP, with Vista you can do it at install time without the slipstream.
