I'm trying to use Acronis 2011 to clone the WD3200BEKT in the primary slot to the WD5000BEKT in the ultraybay. I set the 320gb as the primary and the 500gb as the slave, then it asks to reboot. During reboot after the windows splash screen it gives "Error- Script file not found." Why is that happening, am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks.

sounds like your acronis boot image is corrupted.

you can use any reasonable linux and do it yourself if you want to clone(basically disk image dump if I am not mistaken).

I use 2010 version. Had a few misc. problems when restoring or cloning. As a workaround, I tried using the boot CD/DVD instead of running under Win7 and watching it reboot.

Haven't had any issues since I started using the boot DVD, so I'd recommend you try that for both restores and clones.

Note, however, that I've not had any problems running Acronis backup under Win7(or XP on another box). Works fine for the backup while Win7 is up.
