Hi, I was using Tune up utilities 2009 when i had 32 bit vista but now with 64 bit windows 7 , tune up utilities refuses to install or work even when i use compatibility mode for vista SP2 , it doesn't work. Is there any program like tune up utilities which is as good as it and works on windows 7?

Did you try other compatibility modes?

You can also try this program: http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html#

I used to use it in the days of XP, and it was quite good. However, just keep in mind that Vista and 7 have introduced a lot of self-diagnostic, maintenance, and troubleshooting services to Windows. Most of these tweaking programs out on the market now are just useless scams.

Absolutely agree with that. Tune Up Utilities does a pretty decent job for XP. I tried it on both OSes and Tune Up gave me the impression it did nothing for Vista. In fact as Swarmer said Vista does a nice job of doing certain tasks in auto mode, including defragging itself and updating it's hot zones automatically just like OSX. If you feel the need to use a tune up utility use CCleaner and it's free.
