I just got 2gb of RAM today and wanted to turn back the Windows Aero feature but cant figure out how to. It is not in my Appearance settings "Color scheme" list. It should be but its not. Any help would be great! :)

I dont have vista, but I believe it comes on automatically if your computer has enough power to run it.

Personalize -> Window Color and Appearance. Click on "Open classic appearance properties for more color options". Windows Aero should be on the list of your computer supports it.

Right click on your Desktop>Personalize>Windows Color And Appearance>Open Classic Appearance Properties for More Color Options>Choose Windows Aero.

That should get Aero running. You can make other changes through the display personalize window, or tweak the effects in Performance Information and Tools>Adjust Visual Effects.

    Hope that helps.

Yes, Vista basic "officially" doesn't support AERO interface. However there is a hack to turn it on. Try this.

Under Themes you have to change it to Windows Vista
