Just a quick bump, I am pretty desperate to get this to work. There are a few gadgets I've come to rely on on my Vista laptop...

Hi nice piece of work it works great. However none of the gadgets downloaded from the Microsoft site work - I've unzipped the folders etc and everything looks fine but they're not recognised by Sidebar. Has Microsoft updated or fundamentally changed the way Sidebar operates? It's a mystery. The gadgets tranferred from my release copy of Vista RTM work fine though. Wierd.

Edit: D'oh! fixed. Unzipping the gadgets is not enough - you have to add .gadget to the end of the folder name .i.e. download timer.gadget, rename it timer.zip, unzip it and it creates a folder called timer, this needs to be renamed timer.gadget, copy that to c:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets

    Cheers :)

One question - is there any way to resize it? (Make it smaller?) I'm running it on 1280x800, and I don't have enough room as it is... :p

That, and I wish there was some way to integrate it with the Taskbar...

This is my first time trying something here and as usual I'm having problems. I installed the vista sidebar as instructed but didn't have the reditrbitible or how you spell it install. I'm getting and error and it won't load help. Oh by the way I followed the link to down load it and it still is the same. Now I don't have wireless Lan so I didn't think it neccessary to install

You could at least give the credit to www.wincert.net where original Vista Sidebar RTM topic was created:

    http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1442&st=0&start=0

There's also installation for this sidebar on 9 different languages.

P.S. If nothing else, at least you gave the credit to Ricktendo64!

Any of you guys who have problems with the sidebar, ask your questions in this topic ( http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1442&st=0&start=0), since I see that you're not getting much help here.
