I just installed the new Catalyst full download from the ATI website. I removed the old drivers, rebooted, ran the ATI install program, and rebooted. Upon start-up, I no longer am able to bring up the Catalyst Control Panel. I tried the installer again, but it said everything was there. How do I fix this?

When I first got my Lenovo laptop in May, I downloaded newer Catalyst drivers from the ATI website and it broke my system. I was not able to load the Catalyst Control Center. The only fix I could find was to reformat and factory reinstall. Maybe there was an obvious/quick fix, but I couldn't find it. I chalked it up to Lenovo having special ATI drivers for their machines and the ATI drivers on the ATI website were not compatible with my Lenovo machine. But this isn't to say there isn't a fix, I just couldn't find it.

You need to use Mobility Modder
    http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php

running CCC 9.9 for a week or so here with no problems,(specs in sig)

Joey-t the notebook manufactor's lock you out from upgrading the drivers to other than what they want to let you have...that tool posted lets you update to what the latest drivers are from ATI or Nvidia.....you just download the latest desktop drivers for your series of gfx then use that tool and it should install
