    I'm trying to cut the amount of startup programs to speed up the computer. I was wondering about these two:

    Adobe Acrobat
    Java Platform

    Adobe acrobat, no, u dont need this at startup... I have it turned off.. you can always start it up later whenever u are opening a pdf..

    Java platform >> buh... I don't know.. I can't see one in my startup list.. :p lol.. may be u don't need..

    Nope for both. If you do need them, they will launch when another program calls for them.

    Acrobat is probably for a speedlaunch application and the Java one is probably to check for updates.
