Ok, sorry about this since i think i put it in the wrong section. Anyways i have an older toshiba laptop with windows 2000 on it, and whenever i start it up i have to chose between two windows profiles at the beginning. I only use the top one because the bottom one crash's. All i need to know is how to delete one of them.

If you use a program like partition magic, you can easily delete the partition on which the non-functioning windows is installed. Than you can merge the partition to the working windows partition.

He's asking about deleting a User Profile in Win2000. Just go to Control Panel and you should see "User Accounts" or something like that. Pick the one that you say crashes, delete it.

Also, why is the horse humping the car in your picture?

You can also edit boot.ini in C:\ if you want to permanently remove the invalid entry ;)

He may be talking about "Hardware Profiles".

The screen shows up right after the POST and tells you to select Profile 1 or Profile 2.

To delete one of them go to:

My Computer> Hardware> Hardware Profiles (Its at the bottom of the my computer hardware tab)

Then select profile 2 and hit delete.

    :)

Oh I see, uh did you remember to partition them separately? If you didn't, that may be why one of the choices is crashing...the other Windows OS is probably overwriting its system files and doing all sorts of crazy stuff to it. If you partitioned it, then just wipe out the partition the buggy OS is installed in. If not, I would just leave it alone, as the two has probably become too entangled to separate.

Hmmm well i think bender is the closest. And i have a pic of a 328 because they're wicked.

Anyways back to this problem of mine. Ok so i'll explain it again just incase no one could understand it right the first time.

Right when i turn the laptop on the toshiba name pops up like it should, then once its done that it gives me two options to chose from. They're both named Windows 2000. And all i know is that the top one works and the bottom one freezes up when it tries to load. Im just trying to get rit of that bottom one but i havent understood any of the ways you have told me to go about it yet :D
