OK so, yesterday I did a fresh preinstall of my Windows Vista. Everything is cool EXCEPT one thing - UAC. When I installed the fresh version of Vista, the first thing I did was to turn off UAC. Now I have that annoying "security alert" icon in my tray and I want to remove it. Of course I immediately "hid" it but it would be good if I could remove it. So my question is how?
Before the preinstall my Windows used a trial version of Kaspersky and I think the antivirus suppressed the alert, because it had a "UAC - Ignored" section or whatever. Now that I have Nod32 what should I do?

First make sure the security center service is started in services.msc
Click the Start button
From the Start menu, Click Control panel
In Control panel, Click the Security Center icon
The Security Center window will now open
On the left of the window you will see a list of options
From this list, Click the 'Change the way security center alerts me' option
The 'Do you want to be notified of security issues window will open.
From here you have the following choices:
* Yes notify me and display the icon (recommended)
* Don't notify me, but display the icon
* Don't notify me and don't display the icon (not recommended)
Sounds like the one you want (no alert on the right taskbar) is Don't notify me and don't display the icon
Click on the option you want and the option will then take immediate effect -
Thanks for the help, man!
