The OS can only be downloaded once right?
It's saying that for 5.95 I'll get the "Extended Download Service" which "will keep a back-up copy of your digital file should you need to re-download it for any reason."
Should I get this? How long is this going to extend it? And are they saying that if I don't get this I won't be able to download after like 5 days or something? -
In this case it's more than likely a limited amount of time. Giving you one chance to download such a large software is unreasonable so I highly doubt they would do that (so many things could go wrong - if you're on a wireless connection it could just disconnect for one second making you lose your download). For that reason, you usually have a few days to download it.
If you buy the extended download service, it will just extend the time limit you have to get the software.
What I do, I just use the initial time period to download it. Then I burn a copy on a DVD. I don't pay for the extended time thing I don't see a need of it.
Edit: Based on information from the the website.
I'd just use the initial 30 days to download it and then make myself a backup. -
The file will be there for 30 days to download.

the MSDNAA download, downloads a little program which then downloads the file. You can close the program and continue downloading later, it resumes there it left of and doesnt start over. I would think MS would use a similar program for this.

I've been having a problem with the installer. I want to perform a full clean installation but I don't know how to convert the files to a bootable disc to perform the clean installation.
It seems the installer is just an upgrade kit.
Is anyone having the same issue? -
