    USB 2.0 Hub not working on Vista

    I bought a USB hub for my vista running laptop ...when i connect the driver installation fails on all 3 ports....each time it says then "USB device not recognized"

    Why??? pls give me some advice... & i have ipod, external HD, card read, gaming mouse, keyboard....i desperately need a USB hub working on my laptop

    So pls give me a solution & i ll very extremely thankful to you.

    Some advice? How about not using that red bold text :D

    Well considering you did not give us a brand/model....so we could google new drivers for you???

    Even then I have used many USB hubs, with XP and Vista and none of them ever needed a driver???? I just plugged them in and moved on with using them.

    its a chinese generic brand so what do i tell u..

    Well, how to manually install windows generic USB hub driver?

    I tried deleting INFcache1 file from C:/windows/inf but it didn't allow.

    it does have a slot for power supply but no adapter provided...and in device manager it says "running on full power" without power supply
