    USB drive ,cant format.

    My Pen drive which is of 4 GB is showing almost 1.2GB used ,though there is nothing in the drive even after activating ''show hidden files and folder''.
    The system is not permitting me to format the drive also. I have scanned the drive but still not getting any desired result.


    any suggestions ?

    I don't think this will help, but you can try viewing 'hidden system files' that will normally hidden despite the "show hidden files and folder" (untick "hide protected operating system files").

    Alternatively you can try repartitioning it and formatting it... look at the command line tool diskpart if you don't wanna go down the Linux route.
