If true, that would be an interesting feature. But worth it? IDK, but overall Vista looks good in my eyes.

BTW, that hack also works for XP!

Ok, App works and is pretty nice. :D

One flaw, It covers desktop not replacing it. I can't see my icons and sidebar must be set to stay on top. But if your not an icon person then this is perfect. It covers the Vista beta watermark too :)

Looking for Aurora to be better.

My RAM is over 1gb. Not sure if it's screensaver or not. I'll get back with that info.

PICS WILL NOT DO ANIMATION JUSTICE.

    Here are some pics ............

Ok, HUGE CORRECTION .....You DON"T have to select sidebar always on top.

It play well with sidebar and looks better. The icons however are still covered.

Here a pic with sidebar not on top .....

    HUGE DIFFERENCE..........

thank for the lovely picture :)

can't wait for vista... but i would guess that the animated desktop will be a waste of computer resources, i would guess it would make frame lag on some low-end machine; i probably would turn it off, my mobile phone has this feature also and the gimmick loose of quickly.

btw, no offense, but ur calculator gadget looks distasteful ;)

edit: i dont know if ultimate edition is worth it... i would probably stay with watever i get from the manufacturer... although i must say; i'll be very dissapointed if Toshiba doesn't give Vista Ultimate ED on its flagship laptop (lol).. i guess the answer is... yes! i do want Ultimate edition and the extra it will give me.. but the price is too steep! c'mon M$ lower the price already!

Thats Great that it works for XP too. :)

I haven't tried it on XP yet tho.

So far on Vista there is no lag on my pc. But RAM doesn't get lower than
750MB with it running and can hit past 1GB easy with other apps running.

So I would have no idea how good it would work on a low-end machine.

I guess those realistic screen savers will look very nice on desktop. But most of them cost money or have serious spyware.

ive got a few realistic screen savers that came with this and it works great they just use a ton of the cpu though also notice my temp runs higher all the time while its on so i dont think im gonna use it.

Hell... I can set a screensaver as the root window in Linux... why would I want anything like that? "Oohhh, look, everything is moving and distracting, making me unable to focus on any work or real information! Whee!!!"
