    Ultimate but Xp mode is not applicable ????

    EDIT : it looks like i just needed to install xp mode software first , a 3 file process as in the link below, best done in IE

    according to this link, hardware Vt is not required to run Xp mode any more , because Microsoft have released a patch , see link above.

    But when i run the patch it says "the upgrade is not applicale to your computer" , I am using file "Windows6.1-KB977206-x64.msu" and have Windows 7 Ultimate x64

    So why does the patch not work, anybody know ???

    Very long shot.... You have checked the patch installed without errors and have rebooted??
