Just received my Dell D630 with Vista Ultimate. The problem is that sometimes when I boot or restart the system, Vista doesn't recognize my USB mouse, so I have to unplug and plug it again to make it work. It is an intermittent issue, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I've tried with three different mouse and the same thing happens. Can anyone help please?

Try uninstalling your usb devices from the device manager, rebooting, and letting windows install them again for you.

    Minor hijack sorry...

Hey Nizzy (or anyone) not a mouse problem but on my All in One printer/scanner everything is working printer side but my scanner stopped working. Drivers are up to date, bulb is functional and I've tried the basic fixes in the error message posted. Think it's possible to use your above advice?

I see this sometimes on my system, but only when I have the mouse plugged in to a USB hub, then the hub plugged in to the PC. Do you have the mouse plugged in to a hub?
