This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Unable to access a file

    I was typing some information in Notepad.

    I was in a hurry and saved it as xs.com.

    This saved it as file type: MS-Dos Application in stead of at text.

    I receive this error message when I try to open it.

    never mind.

    If someone wants to know what to do.

    Just drop the file on Notepad....

    A more permanent solution would be to rename the file to the correct type, e.g., xs.txt.
