    Dear All,

I am using Samsung Smart Switch to transfer data between my Laptop and Galaxy S5 mobile. The software was working well until yesterday.

Now when I try to run it, I am getting the message “The ordinal 8452 could not be located in dynamic link library C:\Programme files (x86)\......\SmartSwithcPC.exe”.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled it but the problem persist.

Please guide me to resolve the problem.
    Thanks.

I googled that error for you and found this as a solution for one user - use the System File Checker - as you've already tried reinstalling the app its worth a try.

    > Use the system file checker scan for corrupted files and attempt to repair them.
    3.a: open command prompt
    3.b: type sfc /scannow
3.c: wait until the scan finishes and reboot
3.d: check if the problem is fixed.

Let us know how you get on :)

No worries and at least that was worth a try.

Maybe look on the Samsung forums to see if anyones had the same problem as you and found a fix or even conctact Samsung support. It's odd that removing and reinstalling the appliction gives the same error - it could be that the app didn't fully remove itself and left files there when reinstalled perhaps.

I hope you get it sorted.

*Edit* - similar issue here although its a different file number. Microsoft recommended

"Please download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)"

Yesterday I have also seen the article which you have referred. I have installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package. But still no luck.
So, try with Samsung care live chat. But as per them, the problem is due to only OS. Smart Switch has nothing to do with it.
After getting your reply I re install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (as I already uninstall it). Now I have install old Smart Switch instead of the new one which I have download from Samsung web site yesterday.
With surprise I found Smart Switch is working. Presently I am updating Smart Switch to newer version. Let see what happen.

After update to latest version Smart Switch still working. So, problem seams solved. I have done following steps.
    1. Completely uninstall (with temp file) Smart Switch.
    2. Uninstall Samsung USB driver for mobile phones.
    3. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package.
    4. Install old version of Smart Switch (File version/product version 4.0.15044.7).
    5. Update Smart Switch to version 4.1.16032.18
    Thanks.
