Just wondering if this is possible. I've tried rmclock and cpugenie but they dont work. anything else out there i can try?
thanks

I haven't done it myself, but supposedly there's a tool called SetFSB that will accomplish this. You can find more information on the subject here.
Keep in mind that the Atom CPU doesn't draw much power as it is, so you're unlikely to see much of a difference in undervolting it. -

SetFSB will raise and lower the FSB, but won't undervolt. It just overclocks and underclocks. Good question though. My Z520 would give insane battery life if it can be undervolted. It only has a 2.5W TDP as it is. I wonder about the stability though, as these aren't like any other Intel processors.

Setfsb will overclock but it wont undervolt afaik.
You can try throttlestop.
Or you if you could find the voltage regulator on your motherboard then you might be able to pencil mod a resistor and undervolt. -
I know it only uses 2w so undervolting wont make as big of a difference with battery life, but it might lower my temps a good amount.

CrystalCPUID will undervolt atom N270. There are other ways of saving batteries. If you're using acer aspire one series, you can use a1ctl to control the fans to save battery. If you're using eee, then there's eeectl which can underclock/overclock/control fan speed to save battery.

I honestly don't think undervolting an atom would be much of an improvement, Intel takes extra precautions to make sure that their standard voltages for the atom are pretty low.
Doesn't hurt though. -
I tried crystalcpuid with no luck. any idea why its not working? -

bump. anyone got some atom undervolting info? I'm surprised more people aren't into this. Some of the passively cooled netbooks can get pretty toasty.
