Ok what's up with this thing it's only happening on Vista. It has both local and internet access. It'll randomly appear then go away. Yet never relents to make my life hell. When i'm playing Perfect World this network will show up connect then cause me to disconnect from the server. Even after i've connected to it. That Network will appear then go away then reappear. It's very annoying. Ok info probably needed to help me out. OS:Windows Vista Home Premium SP1. PC:Asus G50Vt-X5. Network used:LAN only(wireless is off for the entire time as i don't need it that entire thing is shut down.) Ok i'd like some way to resolve this issue as it's Vista's doing and i know it.

Same here. Sometimes I'm connected to like 4-5 networks, even though I should be connected to only one.

CMD - IPconfig shows "Tunnel adapter" "Local Arena Connection 'number here'" and some IP / address.

My guess is possible trojans and/or backdoors or someone has connected to your computer or you're in a botnet.

    Yes, it's Vista's fault that you used a crack/keygen.

    Everything works fine here.

Have you checked your event logs to see if anything relating to this phantom network got logged there?

Also, are these phantom networks coming up as wireless or wired networks?

Also (again), do you have IPv6 enabled or disabled? If it's enabled, you should probably disable it unless you have a specific reason for keeping it enabled (e.g., you connect to a network that uses IPv6); as it stands right now, having IPv6 enabled can present a potential security risk as not all A/V apps have been rewritten to watch for malware riding in on IPv6 packets.
