    Hi,

till two days ago I have used my Wireless LAN at home without any problem. I have a cable modem and a belkin router.

But yesterday something weird happened. Anytime I tried to connect with my wireless or wired ethernet from my ThinkPad R61, I always get a message that the network can't be identified (local only), although the laptop is connected without problem to the wireless network. I can't access the internet. And I also got a weird IP address assigned, instead of the normal IP address: 192.168.x.x

I also tried to connect using the ethernet cable, and got the same problem with the IP address. Other computers at my home (with XP O/S) don't have this problem.

However, I can access the Internet using the unsecured wireless signal that I received from my neighbors. And the IP address is the normal one: 192.168.x.x

I tried using ipconfig release and renew command without any success. I searched the Internet about this issue (it seems a lot of people have the same problem) without any clear solution found.

Any advice / solution is highly appreciate. Thanks.
