I installed AVG 8 and ran a Scan. It located some spyware in my Daemon Tools Lite Uninstall files which were then moved to the Virus Vault where I accidentally deleted them. I have tried everything but it doesn't make sense to me what to do. I intend to delete the program, run the scan and then install it once again. Any ideas people?

    Hi.

I am not sure what you want but, but have you tried to re-install Daemon Tools Lite, some installers allow you to do a repair

And then run it`s own un-install program.

    Regards

    John.

Run the daemon tools setup.exe again and there should be a Repair option. It will renew everything while keeping your settings

Tried downloading the same Version and it still doesn't work. Shows an internal error and then closes. Any other ideas?

    Hi.

have you tried to manually delete the files in the program directory, and then try a re-install

you could try this, but it might not work if it cannot find the un-install program

I was told back in Childhood that you never delete the files manually as the registries still linger on thereby not allowing you to install it later. Isn't that true anymore? What does this program that you have given do actually?

Installed revoinstaller. Just doesn't locate the program at all.

    Hi.

But the un-installer does not work, so you do not have a choice.

Sometime you have to do a manual un-install, to try and delete the corrupt files and then the re-install might work.

Did you try the Revo Uninstaller.

    regards

    John.

    Hi.

You could always to a system restore, to just before you deleted the files in the AVG 8.0 Virus Vault.

    John.
