    Hello,

I have Windows Vista installed on my primary partition which I am dual booting with Windows Server 2008. How would I remove Server 2008 from the second partition? I can't just format it, can I? Thanks for any info.

Why can't you just format it? I've never used Server 2008, but if it is like every other OS the procedure would be:

1: Format the partition with 2008
2: Fix the master boot record to remove 2008 from the list

hmm, facing the exact same problem as you. i have xp 64 installed and i tried server2008 as a workstation os.

the problem is that server 2008 does install a bootmanager for it´s own good. i have wiped the partition with server2008, but the bootmanager is still installed and lets me choose server 2008 or previous windows versions ( xp64) , even now that i formated the partition with server2008.

i hope i just can delete the bootmanager. the bootmanager itself is located on drive c:.

right now i don´t wanna loose my work, so i do not touch the bootmanager, guess i´ll try when my current project is done.

You can fix the Vista boot record to get rid of Server 2008.
