I just checked my startup processes and found a new one that I'm unaware of.

It's the 2nd one listed in the photo

Anyone have any idea what this is?

CRLEventnet in the category of eapmouseaudio?

The only thing new I've installed lately is the 2.0 upgrade of Microsoft Security Essentials. Could this be a new process related to the heuristics engine?

    Thanks

That is pretty incredible. You have found the edge of the universe, it lies within Google.

If it is something that a search engine cannot bring up (Yahoo & Bing only show this post too), it is NOT a Windows/Intel/AMD/normal manu process so I'd disable it asap.

Do you have an antivirius or malware scanner? Does it get flagged?

I know! I was shocked to find no results on google.

The only thing I could think of was that it was related to MSE 2.0 which I just upgraded to but I highly doubt it would be under the category of eapmouseaudio (which also turns up nothing on google).

Hmm...I should probably disable it but I wish I knew what it was.

haha... I had searched for it too and when I saw his post as the only result I was like....what in the....

Like someone said, disable it, and see what happens. Run a virus scan and malwarebytes antimalware...

Well I disabled it and then uploaded it to the jotti virus scan and here's the results:

    CRLEventnet.dll - Jotti's malware scan

I scanned it with MSE and it said it was fine, but according to those results, it looks like it could be a virus. Can I just delete it?

EDIT: Scanned the file with Malwarebytes and it found nothing too
