Hi
I just upgraded to Firefox 3.0 and I've lost my recent list of bookmarks.
For some reason Firefox has decided to use a list of bookmarks that is quite old. I didn't have anything new that I can't find again on the list of bookmarks I had but it is rather annoying.
Does anyone know if I can get the bookmarks I had back?
I've tried a restore using system restore, I've tried restoring the firefox folders in my user directory (local settings application data) from an acronis true image backup I have from the 2nd of December and neither of those things has worked.![]()
I have googled for a solution to this but I've drawn a blank...
Thanks in advance for any advice on this.![]()

AFAIK FF keeps multiple bookmark files in the user profiles , check them one by one then import the one which has most bm
Code:%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\(random).default\bookmarkbackups

There is option mate
Just goto Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Import HTML
after this just import the bookmark file you wanted -
Ah bugger I must've missed that one.
I'll try restoring from an acronis backup I've done to a new location (rather than overwriting the original files) and see if I can import the list I want.
Just tried it with the ones already on the system and it didn't do anything, I still had the list it's picked up.
Dunno where it picked the older list of bookmarks up from though, very odd. -

Ooh I never came across that when I had a search through google. It looks like it should solve it as it is very similar to the problem I've got, I'll give that a go and see if it works.
