I normally connect my laptop to my HDTV via HDMI, and then select on my system to output the sound on the TV rather than the laptop speakers.

However since getting the most recent drivers for my GPU, when i go to the sound mixer, the HDTV sound output is named AMD ... Even when i switch to it, the laptop continues to output the sound from the speakers.
