Hello!, i'll try to keep this quick and simple. I have a Acer E3-111 laptop. It had windows 8.1, I formatted the hard drive, and installed 7 Pro. Worked amazing, then i "upgraded" to windows 10... All went well, but i lost my mouse pointer.....I downloaded the mouse driver, no go.. I plugged in a external mouse and it worked, but the built in touch pad does not.. So looked online, and a fix for the disappearing mouse pointer was updating the Bios to 1.29.. Little did i know, the computer already had 1.29 installed. i installed 1.29, the computer restarted, and then a error message came up, "No Bootable Devices"... I tried to reinstall windows, no go. As of right now, im running ubuntu on it... But i want to go back to windows 10. i've made a W10 USB jump drive, but it never reads to install... i've changed the boot order, no go, the BIOS has a error. I've tried to BIOS recovery, but i dont know where to get the BIOS file, to do the bios recovery... What do i do? i'm lost... Thank you!!

You need a bootable windows 10 disk, then fix bootrec. if the bios also has an error not too sure what to tell you as this might be better addressed in the Acer forums.

Edit; This should also serve as another warning, DO NOT UPDATE THE BIOS WHILE W10 IS RUNNING! It can disable your boot device and have fun getting it back!

The BIOS update could have defaulted your BIOS to Legacy. If you previously had your BIOS as UEFI that would explain it not finding a boot device.
Switch back to EUFI if that's what's happened and you should be fine.

DING DING DING!. That was the problem. switched back, and booted right up!! And for the mouse pointer "issue", i needed to download additional drivers such as Serial IO Driver, Sideband Fabric Device Driver, Intel TXE Driver, Chipset Driver, Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework drivers. Now Laptop works well, touchpad/pointer is amazing, and this windows 10 thing is pretty nice!. Thank you for the suggestions! . cheers!
