Hi there everyone,
I have a question regarding Windows 10:
I am able to get the update window up, but I am prompted to uninstall Symantec as it is not compatible with Windows 10.
I have tried deleting it through the wizard as well as Control Panel Install/Uninstall, but every time I get an error saying "Teefer" has crashed and it is preventing me from making the switch.
Does anyone know a fix besides going to Symantec for the CleanWipe tool?
Thanks

Depends on the Symantec product you have installed. If you're using Norton, then there is a Norton Removal tool. Otherwise you may have to try Cleanwipe from Safe Mode.

Thanks for the answer. Quick search for any sort of Norton Removal Tool came up empty, and apparently CleanWipe needs to be supplied directly from the Symantec support team via support ticket.
I'm trying to avoid having to do that, so I'm open to more suggestions. -
Tried it, says that the Symantec AV I have needs to be removed via the Control Panel Install/Uninstall menu before proceeding with use.
Any other suggestions? -

Try safe mode, if that doesn't work, try the Total Uninstall 15 demo just to get rid of it manually then run the cleanup tool

Thank you, the total uninstall seemed to do the trick while the Norton tool was useless. The "Teefer" crash message still came up but Symantec was no longer listed under control panel programs.
I believe total uninstall lasts for 30 days, so should I keep it around or delete it? And is it considered a trustworthy program or just something for a one time use?
Thanks for the help!
