Hi All,
I was wondering if what i'm trying to do is possible. I currently have a free upgrade Windows 7 Home premium 32bit disc with valid key attached when it was shipped to me from Microsoft. I'd like to install it onto my current Asus G50vt-A1 notebook that has Vista Home Premium 64bit installed.
would it be possible for me to download an iso of the Windows 7 HP 64bit disc and use the 32bit key i got from Microsoft? Can I do a clean install? or do i have to simply upgrade my OS?
Thanks in advance.

Yes.
You can legally download an iso of Win 7 x64 (Home Premium since you received the key for it) and use your 32bit key to install it.
And also yes to the question if you can do a clean install instead of the upgrade. You received a full fledged Win installation disc after all.
I wouldn't bother with the upgrade myself since it can take a long time ... just do a clean install of Win 7 x64 HP. -
Thank you very much. I really appreciate your response
Upgrade Vista HP 64bit to Win 7 64bit (with 32bit key)
