I'm in the process of configuring my Hel 80, and I'm stuck on the OS selection...
I want at least Vista Premium, but I can get Ultimate for only +$80
but the only feature that I like is the Complete PC Backup and Restore options it has
    Is it worth the $80?

No...check out Acronis True Image 10.0 for $50.

If you're only going to use the backup feature of ultimate, then don't upgrade. Acronis is cheaper and gets the job done better. However, $80 for the upgrade is not much, and it would be prudent (in my opinion) to take it regardless

I also like Ultimate's Bitlocker but the Hel 80 fingreprint reader makes that a bit useless

and yea $80 for an upgrade that would later cost me ~$300 seems like a nice deal...

BitLocker is only good if you have the TPM chip, so anyone interested needs to check their laptop for it.
