    Hey...

I'm thinking of installing Windows 7 BETA as I've read some good things about it and being a tech-nerd I always wanna try the newest stuff... Even if it mess things up...

But I do have a couple of questions before proceeding... Can I upgrade from my Vista with Danish as language to Windows 7 with English as language ?

Also, can I upgrade and expect most things to wok regarding drivers and software... ? I know this can be a hard question to answer as it depends on many things.

    Regards,

I don't know about the language, but if you can I will always recommend a fresh install. People who have done an upgrade are saying that they are not getting a speed increase like others are.

Thanks... I did try the upgrade but wasn't allowed becaused the old and new system should have same language. I'm in the middle of backing up my files so I can make a fresh install.

But what about drivers ? Am I just going to use the Vista drivers or is there anyting I should know regarding drivers.

    Regards,

All of your Vista drivers should work fine. You may need to right click on the installers and choose to run them in compatibility mode for Vista.

Just make sure you have the proper drivers (64 bit or 32 bit) for Vista. Some may require Safe Mode to install, as well, but most will install without difficulty.

Once you get Win7 set up, you can set it to English, German, Japanese, Chinese, and two other languages (not including Danish). Presumably they'll be adding more on over the next few months.
