This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi
    I'm buying a laptop which comes with Vista Home Premium but it has a free upgrade voucher to windows 7.
    I wanted to upgrade to windows 7 as soon as I get the laptop so can I use this voucher right away or do I have to wait till windows 7 is officially released?

    I believe you have to wait until it is officially released. That's the way it's working with most PC manufacturers.
