Ok, I have an old computer which Im upgrading with a new hard drive, as well as goin from XP to Vista (dont worry, only paid $18 for it through University). I have been planning on cleaning house for a while, but I would like to streamline the Install as much as possible, which comes down to Drivers. I have the old Driver disk, as well as a folder full of duplicate non windows drivers. Anyway, Being the newbie that I am, will there be any problem using my old Driver disc meant for XP in Vista? also, is there a easy program to use to create a installation disc for the non windows Drivers in the aforementioned folder?

Your old driver disc for XP is near worthless - XP drivers can work, generally they wont or cause crashes, affect performance, etecetera - but, here is the good news.

Vista is very good at finding drivers by itself - especially on older machines.

So, quite a few drivers will be on the Windows disc, other's you'll get via windows update, some via the device manager.

For the rest, go to the manufacturers webpage - e.g. Intel - and download the driver from their webpage.
