Hi.
I just bought some cheap usb speakers for my laptop and they are totally plug and play, no software included.
they use the default buit-in XP audio software, which is volume up down and balance and thats it.
is their any software i can install that will give me the ability to ajust the sound, EG, an equlizer or other presets.

have u looked into the built.in equalizer of media players such as winamp, wmp ...
u could use them to put some more umps in ur sound devices when playing music

Give this a try, although I suspect it may be tied to media players and certain apps only.

I would like to stick to windows media player, but all the plug-ins i have tried are demo versions.
is their any free DSP plug-ins for WMP.

i have no issue accessing graphic equalizer within wmp11
