    I have been trying to make my XP machine prettier recently. I found this line of code on the net to add to the desktop.ini file within a folder:

    [ExtShellFolderViews]
    {BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}={BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}
    [{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
    IconArea_Image=C:\Documents and Settings\Greg\My Documents\My Pictures\Apple202007_bright.JPG

    It worked very nicely! Unfortunately it requires that I insert it into each folder individually.

    Is there a fast way to insert this into every folder all at once and make it a standard insertion into a newly created folder?

    Also, is there any way to create a custom background for folders that can't have a desktop.ini file, such as "My Computer" and "Control Panel"?

    Or am I going about this all wrong and there is a better way to do this? :cool:
